Pema Chödrön Online Weekend Workshop
May 20, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - May 22, 2016 @ 5:00 pm
Pema Chödrön teaches Ken McLeod’s Reflections on Silver River
We usually think of freedom as being able to do as we please or as being free from pain, physical and emotional. But ancient Buddhist wisdom points to the folly of such pursuits. There is a third kind of freedom we can discover to experience our lives in a totally different way.
Join Pema Chödrön in this online retreat and explore how to achieve this sense of freedom using an ancient text called 37 Practices of the Bodhisattva. Written by a 14th-century orphaned Tibetan monk who endured a lifetime of hardship and illness, the concise text offers an elegant, timeless, and systematic approach on how to live like a bodhisattva.
The program includes talks, guided meditations, and question-and-answer sessions with Pema Chödrön. Tim Olmsted guides us in meditation practices that show us how to apply these insightful teachings to our everyday lives.
