JulieMae started mindful meditation in 2007 when she was pregnant with her oldest child. She first met the LG community in 2016 when she joined them on retreat. One year later, she joined the Teacher Training program to strengthen her practice and find a pathway to share meditation with others.
As a mother of three and a critical care nurse, meditation has provided JulieMae with the opportunity to explore deep connections in her personal and professional life. Cultivating the ability to be truly present has been instrumental in helping her youngest child navigate ADHD. JulieMae’s favourite practice is Tonglen, the Tibetan practice of receiving and sending, especially while on public transportation.
