With a curious spirit, Jen began sitting at Luminous Ground’s weekly classes in the spring of 2016, shortly after meeting Paul through “Mind Your Business”, an event hosted at Shopify. Not long after joining this vibrant community of young professionals, Jen began the teacher training program to deepen her mindfulness practice, striving for more calm, balance and insight in her daily life experience. A year in, and with a much better understanding of the importance of having a mentorship relationship with an experienced teacher, her desire to share the dharma to help others “wake up” has grown.

Using her passion to connect people and ideas, and her background in sport for development, Jen aspires to teach mindfulness practices to young people through sport and academic programs. She is also interested in work that builds resilient and high-performing mindful organizational cultures.

Jen diligently pours energy into cultivating concentration, self-discipline, kindness and generosity with a daily lovingkindness practice. And she finds joy in investigating and letting go of limiting beliefs and unhelpful reactive patterns through this training.

She lives with her sportive husband, very active and often goofy 6-yr-old son, and Lucy-the-dog in Toronto’s Beach. And Jen keeps this inspiring line close at heart: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life” (Mary Oliver).
